Sports as a stress reliever for corporate job employees

Sports as a stress

Corporate sectors have always been stressful. According to research, depression is the most common
condition among corporate employees worldwide. In the last eight years, the rate of emotional issues
such as anxiety and depression among corporate employees has climbed by 45-50%. Most of them are
unable to focus on their personal or professional lives. As a result, people have rage issues as well as
mental and physical health challenges.

Sports are popular stress relievers among people. After a long day at a 9 to 5 corporate job, we are
overwhelmed with everything. Then a small cheer for the Indian cricket team or our favourite badminton
player can be a mental health enhancer. We feel exhilarated when we witness our favourite player play
and that pleasure helps our mental health enhancer.

The research shows that among every ten people seven to eight people are more interested in sports
after COVID-19. Mainly because in 2 years people are not able to go out more and they are staying in
their houses and most of the time they are spending their time on sports channels.

Sports help you to improve your mood. After a full-time job, we were content to see an Indian badminton
player, HS Prannoy (Prannoy Haseena Sunil Kumar), defeat Tokyo Olympics Champion Viktor Axelsen
on the BWF World Tour 2022. These kinds of things assist our brain in distracting from stress and being
calm. Meanwhile, China’s Chen Yu Fei has beaten two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu (Pusarla
Venkata Sindhu) to the top spot on the women’s singles BWF Tour 2022. we also felt that rage inside of
us and relief to release that anger, that is causing us anger issues.

We have a soft spot in our hearts for sports. We’ve been playing games with our friends and family
since we were kids, and seeing a match brought back those memories. We have the impression that we
are playing on the field with the players. Through cheering, we can bring out our frustration and
encourage them to play well. According to research, screaming with all of your greater force can help
with anger issues.

Sport is more than just a game; it is an emotion. As Indians, we all remember the 2011 World Cup
between India and Sri Lanka. India lost the important wicket of Virat Kohli in the middle overs. We were
terrified and worried. Then, over the in-form Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni (Mahendra Singh Pansingh Dhoni)
elevated himself up the batting order and went on to play a spectacular 91* innings to help India win the
World Cup. When he shoots the ball for the final six, all of our hearts are in our hands, and when the ball
crosses the boundary, we feel the happiness of the entire globe, and tears of joy stream down our
cheeks.

These kinds of memories make sports more meaningful to us, and they help briefly alleviate stress,
anxiety, and depression. We have the energy and excitement to accomplish bigger things in our lives.
We had more energy to spend with family and friends. As we grow as human beings, we grow apart
from our loved ones. We’re constantly running behind our glows. As a result, we are anxious and
stressed. So, if you have time off from work, watch a game with your family and friends. As an outcome,
you will have a fantastic time with your loved ones.

People become more alone as they work in corporations. Other than their colleagues, they are unable to
communicate with anyone. However, sports discourse gives people a good time and something in
common to talk about when they meet. Sport is a great topic for having a conversation. It facilitates a
conversation that appeals to both of them. Making friends is now easier than you might realise.
Sport is an unexpected part of everyone’s lives; it brings out things you didn’t even expect off. Making a
tiny change in your schedule can make a chief difference in your life. Professionally and personally, you
can see a big difference when you have excellent or better mental and physical health. Sports can
shape your life with new and better things that help defeat your issues or diseases.
